The vision of the Litchfield School District is to empower students to believe in themselves and reach their highest potential through graduation and beyond.
To accomplish this goal, teachers, administrators, and support staff must work cohesively. A solid curriculum aligned to state standards and instruction based in best practices will increase student achievement. In addition, teachers and staff work to continuously improve the curriculum through collaboration with peers, discussion of students' needs, and reflection of assessment data.
However, an academic curriculum alone will not fully address the vision of the district. We also incorporate social and emotional lessons into the classroom and have building-wide citizenship themes. By serving the needs of the whole child, we believe students will be able to reach their highest potential in life.
